Soulful crooner Robin Thicke and actress Paula Patton were actually high school sweethearts who met at 16 and have now been married for eight years. They have a son named Julian and a very loving, deep relationship that inspires most of Thicke's romantic hit songs.
He told Essence in December 2011 of their interracial relationship:
"... I’ve been with a Black woman for 18 years. I’ve never dated a White woman. Don’t want to. I’ve never been on a date with a White woman. When you have that relationship and that means the most to you -- you know I can’t live without that woman, she is my muse, my best friend, and my creative partner."
