Lisa Bonet is an American actress. She is known for playing Denise Huxtable on The Cosby Show. She was born in San Francisco, California, to an African-American mother and an Ashkenazi Jewish mother (whose family immigrated from Poland and Russia). Her daughter, with her ex-husband, singer/actor Lenny Kravitz, is actress and model Zoe Kravitz.

Lisa’s maternal grandparents were Eli Litman (the son of Abraham E. Litman and Fannie Lillian Ageloff) and Sylvia Ellen Goldvarg (the daughter of Louis Goldvarg and Sarah Silverman). Eli was born in Pennsylvania, to a Polish Jewish immigrant father and a Russian Jewish immigrant mother. Sylvia was also born in Pennsylvania, to Russian Jewish immigrant parents.
